Rustomjee Group Partners with Mercedes-Benz India for a Celebration of Heritage and Craftsmanship at the Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally 2025

Mumbai, 19th November 2025 : Rustomjee Group, one of Mumbai’s leading real estate developers,
partnered for the Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally (MBCCR) 2025, held on 15th
and 16th November at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai. This two-day celebration
brought together over 70+ vintage and classic Mercedes-Benz models, ranging
from pre-war legends to modern classics, along with collectors, design
connoisseurs, and cultural icons.

The collaboration between Rustomjee, Autocar and
Mercedes-Benz was not merely about luxury and elegance; it was about shared
values and a mutual commitment to excellence, craftsmanship, and timeless
beauty. Rustomjee’s philosophy has always centered around creating spaces that
go beyond the ordinary, spaces that foster community, elevate lifestyles, and
embody sustainability. Similarly, Mercedes-Benz, a global symbol of automotive
engineering and innovation, crafts vehicles that transcend time, blending
cutting-edge technology with aesthetic beauty. Autocar, with its legacy of
shaping automotive culture through thoughtful storytelling and expert curation,
mirrors this ethos by celebrating design, innovation, and experiences that
leave a lasting impression.

This partnership speaks to a deep-rooted connection
between brands that focus on more than just their products, they focus on
creating experiences that resonate with those who appreciate the finer things
in life. Mercedes-Benz has long been known for its iconic status in the world
of automobiles, with each model representing a blend of art, engineering, and
performance. Rustomjee shares this ethos, building homes and spaces that are
not only built with precision but designed to stand the test of time. Together,
they share a belief that true luxury is not just about exclusivity but also
about creating something that will endure, elevate communities, and leave a
lasting legacy.

Highlighting the spirit of the event, Mr.
Chandresh Mehta, Executive Director, Rustomjee Group
, said, “At
Rustomjee, we believe that subtle luxury is rooted in enduring legacy, flawless
craftsmanship, and reliable service to the communities we strive to delight.
Our partnership with Mercedes-Benz India and Autocar for the Classic Car Rally
2025 reflects this shared commitment to experiences that endure. Having the
opportunity to felicitate the Maharaja of Udaipur HH Lakshyaraj Singhji Mewar
was a humbling reminder of India’s rich history and heritage which continue to
inspire us. This weekend was more than a celebration of classic automobiles; it
was a celebration of timeless values. And at Rustomjee, these values guide us
as we continue to craft spaces designed to stand the test of time.”

The weekend itself was a testament to this belief. It
was not only a celebration of the enduring beauty of classic cars but also an
opportunity for like-minded individuals to gather, share stories, and
experience a world where legacy and quality are prioritized. The event began
with ‘The Showcase,’ an open-air exhibition that transformed the lawns of Taj
Lands End into a living museum of motoring art, followed by ‘Dine with the
Stars,’ an exclusive evening where automobile enthusiasts, business leaders,
and tastemakers came together to celebrate shared passions for design, culture,
and innovation. The weekend culminated in the rally, where over 100 classic
Mercedes-Benz cars cruised along Mumbai’s scenic coastline, offering a rare
glimpse into the history of automotive artistry.

Reflecting on the partnership, Mr. Percy
Chowdhry, Executive Director, Rustomjee Group,
remarked, “The
Mercedes-Benz Classic Car Rally 2025 was a truly remarkable celebration of
heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless elegance. Witnessing over 70 iconic
Mercedes-Benz classics grace Mumbai’s landscape was a reminder that true luxury
is built to endure. At Rustomjee, we resonate deeply with this philosophy,
whether it is a vintage automobile or a thoughtfully crafted home, what we
create today should stand as a testament to quality and vision for generations
to come. It was an honour to partner with Mercedes-Benz and Autocar in bringing
together a community of connoisseurs who appreciate the finer things in life.
This event perfectly encapsulated what we strive for every day: creating
experiences and spaces that leave a lasting legacy.”

Rustomjee’s partnership with Mercedes-Benz went beyond
participation, it was an active embodiment of the brand’s core values.
Rustomjee’s commitment to community-building was reflected in its involvement
in the Community Table Dinner, a fireside conversation with global automotive
thought leaders, and its presence at the flag-off ceremony of the rally. It was
a symbol of Rustomjee’s unwavering belief in the importance of collaboration,
vision, and purpose in shaping a future that respects heritage while
continuously striving for progress.

The event was graced by eminent personalities,
including Ashish Shelar, Cabinet Minister for IT & Cultural Affairs,
Government of Maharashtra; Pratapsinh Gaekwad of the Royal Family of Baroda;
and the Maharaja of Gondal, along with the Maharaja of Udaipur. The gathering
of renowned business leaders such as Viveck Goenka, MD, Indian Express Group;
Yohan Poonawala, Chairman & MD, Poonawala Engineering Group; Gautam
Singhania, MD, Raymond Group; and Hormusji Kama, Chairman & MD, Mumbai
Samachar, reinforced MBCCR’s stature as a premier celebration of legacy and
timeless design. During the event, Chandresh Mehta, Executive Director at
Rustomjee Group also felicitated Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the Maharaja of
Udaipur, adding a distinguished highlight to the ceremony.

For Rustomjee, the collaboration with Mercedes-Benz
was about more than just the event itself. It was a natural extension of its
values, celebrating excellence, fostering community, and continuously striving
to create enduring legacies. The rally flag-off was not just a ceremonial moment;
it was a reflection of Rustomjee’s commitment to not only shaping the skyline
of Mumbai but also shaping the future of those who choose to live, drive, and
invest in luxury that lasts.
